K’opiyo holds Bachelor of Business Administration from Methodist University and Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from Moi University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPAK) with considerable experience in accounting and finance, and contract management in consultancy firms. Mr. K’opiyo has been project manager in the following assignment resettlement action plans for various projects Uganda Railway Standard Gauge, Tororo to Kampala, and Uganda Electricity Company, Kenya Power and Lighting Company, Kenya Electricity Transmission Company, National Irrigation Board: Property Valuation and Web based asset register for the following organizations Kenya Port Authority, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Communication Commission of Kenya, Kenya Agricultural Research Institute, Kenya Water Institute, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Rongo University, International Peace Support Centre among others He has been a consultant with Syagga and Associates Limited since 2003 and now project manager with Mauna Consulting Limited
